NOW Football Membership: Is It Worth It? (2026)

NOW's Football membership costs £30.99 a month, or £23.99 on a 12-month saver, for every football match on Sky Sports. What it includes, what it misses, and when All Sky Sports or a day pass is better.

Short answer: if football is the only thing you watch on Sky Sports, yes. NOW’s Football membership gives you every football match Sky shows — including at least 215 Premier League games — for £4 a month less than the full Sky Sports package.

NOW split Sky Sports into separate Football and Multi-Sport memberships in October 2026. This guide covers what the Football plan includes, what it leaves out, and whether a different NOW option suits you better.

What the NOW Football membership includes

  • Every Premier League match on Sky Sports — at least 215 this season, including the Friday and Monday night games and the final day.
  • The EFL, WSL and Scottish Premiership — Sky says the plan covers more than 1,500 live matches across the season.
  • Football programmes and replays on demand.
  • Viewing on a phone, tablet, laptop or TV through the NOW app, on most mainstream devices.

It’s a membership, not a contract in the Sky sense: no dish, no box and no engineer visit.

What it costs

NOW membership Flexible 12-month saver What you get
Football £30.99/mo £23.99/mo All the football on Sky Sports
All Sky Sports £34.99/mo £27.99/mo Football plus every other Sky sport
Multi-Sport £26.99/mo £19.99/mo Everything except football
Day £14.99 for 24 hours — All Sky Sports for one day

Prices checked 29 October 2026. The saver needs a 12-month commitment and then continues at the flexible price unless you cancel. Memberships include adverts on live sport, and Boost (£6 a month) adds Full HD, 5.1 sound and a second device.

What it doesn’t include

Worth knowing before you sign up:

  • TNT Sports. NOW only carries Sky’s channels. TNT Sports has 52 Premier League matches this season, including every Saturday 12:30pm kick-off, and those are on HBO Max.
  • European football. The Champions League and Europa League are on TNT Sports, not Sky.
  • 4K. The Football membership doesn’t include 4K channels. If picture quality matters, All Sky Sports is the one that offers it.
  • Other sports. No F1, golf, cricket, tennis, darts or rugby — that’s the Multi-Sport half.
  • The 3pm Saturday games. The UK blackout still applies, so those aren’t shown live by anyone.

Which NOW option should you choose?

You only watch football — choose Football

The football is identical in both plans, so All Sky Sports is £4 a month for sports you don’t watch. Over a year that’s £48 saved for no loss at all.

You watch football and F1 or cricket — choose All Sky Sports

Football (£30.99) plus Multi-Sport (£26.99) would cost £57.98 a month. All Sky Sports gives you both for £34.99, so splitting them only makes sense if you want one half.

You watch two or fewer matches a month — use day passes

At £14.99 each, two match days cost £29.98 — slightly less than a month of Football at £30.99. From three match days a month, the membership is cheaper. You can switch between them month to month.

Saver or flexible?

The Premier League season runs for ten months, from August to late May.

  • 12-month saver: £23.99 × 12 = £287.88 for the year.
  • Flexible, cancelled over the summer: £30.99 × 10 = £309.90.

The saver is £22 cheaper across a season. The flexible plan costs more but lets you stop at any point — useful if your team’s season falls apart or your circumstances change. Note the saver rolls on at £30.99 after twelve months unless you cancel, so put a reminder in your calendar.

How it fits with TNT Sports

To see every televised Premier League match you need both services. The cheapest combination is the NOW Football saver plus TNT on HBO Max on a flexible plan, cancelled over the summer — about £598 for the season, or £2.24 a match. We break that down, along with cheaper routes for fans who don’t need every game, in the cheapest legal way to watch the Premier League.

How it compares with the illegal route

Honestly: a dodgy stick or IPTV subscription is cheaper — roughly half the price of the legal equivalent, not free. What the NOW price buys is a service that works during the big matches, can’t land you with a warning letter, and doesn’t involve handing your card details to an anonymous seller. We set out where the law stands in are Fire Sticks legal in the UK? and is IPTV legal in the UK?

The short version

  • NOW Football is £30.99 a month, or £23.99 on a 12-month saver, for every football match on Sky — including at least 215 Premier League games.
  • It’s the right choice if you only watch football; choose All Sky Sports if you also want F1, golf or cricket, or need 4K.
  • It doesn’t include TNT Sports, so you’ll miss 52 Premier League matches and all European football.
  • For two or fewer match days a month, £14.99 day passes are cheaper.

You will also need

A genuine Fire Stick. If you have been using a modified one, a standard Fire TV Stick from Amazon runs every service above, receives security updates, and costs less than a single month of most illegal subscriptions.

Broadband that can carry it. Live sport in HD needs a stable connection more than a fast one. If streams buffer on legitimate services too, the problem is the line, not the platform —compare broadband deals.
